What does your company do?
Our organization is a Cape Town-based social enterprise that creates inclusive, safe, and empowering spaces through curated events, cultural experiences, and creative platforms. We focus on uplifting local talent, particularly from creative communities, by producing public events, supporting emerging artists, and offering private event services with a strong emphasis on art production, storytelling, diversity, and community engagement. Through our events, we aim to transform the space physically, incorporating immersive decorations and different themes throughout the year. We strive to foster connections, celebrate identity, and provide opportunities for collaboration and income generation within underrepresented communities. We also use our platforms to challenge norms, honour heritage, and inspire social change through art, performance, and immersive experiences.
What is your biggest success?
One of my greatest achievements has been establishing myself as a respected woman in the male-dominated music and events industry. I’ve built a platform where my work speaks for itself through consistent quality, vision, and integrity. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with major global and local brands including Boiler Room, Sprite, Puma, Spotify, Shelflife and Everyday People. I’ve also had the honour of working with some of South Africa’s top artists such as Blxckie, Maglera Doe Boy, Nasty C, K.O, and the late Costa Titch. These partnerships are not just accolades, they represent years of persistence, passion, and a commitment to creating inclusive, culturally relevant experiences that uplift and inspire.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been constantly having to prove myself in a space where I’m often underestimated. As a woman in the events and music industry, I’ve had to find the balance between standing my ground and staying gracious, whether it’s negotiating fair deals, managing teams, or navigating complex partnerships. I built a creative space from the ground up, only to be forced out a year ago under difficult circumstances. It felt like a part of me was taken away. Still, I didn’t give up. I found a new warehouse and continued the work, rebuilding, adapting, and pushing forward with even more purpose. That experience taught me resilience and reminded me why I started: to create spaces that truly belong to the community.
