What is your biggest success?
It would be very difficult to define success in one single moment though my biggest and ongoing success apart from starting my own business I am a big believer making an impact and that been through advocating for the the development of women and children through volunteering and various programs. I have been able to empower the community of soweto and the community of sebokeng. In Soweto we launched a first of its kind Gamers Tour to introduce gaming, robotics and coding to the children of Diepkloof we empowered over 200 learners through the event and various activations that we held in different schools to increase the awareness. In Sebokeng I personally have been assisting the learners of Atlehang Primary grades 5 to read with understanding and in those 2 years the learners marks have improved tremendously. In advocate for women I volunteered at Women in Music South Africa to empower and Bridge the inequality gap and visibility for women. As I build further in business I'd would like to expand on these initiatives.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle
Has to be dealing with imposter syndrome. I used to deal with confidence issues and believing I wasn't good enough. This made me procrastinate in building what I was meant to be doing and this last for a few years. I was still building and working towards my dreams but not confident enough to go all out and be unapologetically intentionally. It has been a working process but I am now taking the steps to rebuild my confidence and believe in my abilities again. Taking part women of the future rising star award is me putting my fears aside and taking a step towards believing in my capabilities.
