What does your company do?
Learnergy is South Africa’s first holistic educational hub based at Eastgate Mall, offering academic support, wellness services, digital learning tools, and educator training all under one roof. We empower learners of all ages through tailored tutoring, mental health support, and access to digital platforms like Vodacom e-School. Our goal is to build a global community of lifelong learners equipped to thrive in creative and professional industries, while also uplifting communities through accessible, innovative, and transformative education.
What is your biggest success?
Our biggest success has been launching South Africa’s first holistic learning hub inside a major shopping centre, making education more accessible. We've secured partnerships with platforms like Vodacom e-School, attracted national media coverage, built a loyal community of learners and parents, and developed programs that integrate academics, wellness, and digital tools — all within months of launching.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest hurdle has been accessing consistent funding to scale our operations and reach more communities. While the demand for our services is high, securing the resources to expand staffing, digital infrastructure, and wellness support has been a challenge. However, we’ve used this limitation as motivation to build strategic partnerships and enter funding competitions to unlock new opportunities.
