We distribute the Birds and Bees packs through schools, youth organizations, clinics, corporate CSR programmes, and government-led health initiatives. This product not only promotes adolescent well-being but also supports broader public health goals.
What is your biggest success?
The biggest success of the Birds and Bees educational pack has been its growing recognition as an innovative solution to adolescent health education. In 2022, the product was selected from over 2,000 entries to reach the top ten finalists in a national competition, marking its early impact and potential. Building on that momentum, in 2024, it achieved a major milestone by winning third place at the prestigious Festival of Ideas for Social Innovation, hosted by the SAB Foundation in partnership with GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science). This achievement not only validated the importance of the solution but also opened doors to funding opportunities, partnerships, and increased interest from schools, sponsors, and health advocates across the country.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest hurdle for the Birds and Bees educational pack has been securing sufficient finances to purchase stock and scale production to meet growing demand. Limited access to capital has made it challenging to produce packs in larger quantities, while the search for affordable, high-quality suppliers remains ongoing. These financial constraints have at times slowed down the pace at which the product can reach schools, communities, and organizations eager to implement it highlighting the urgent need for investment and strategic partnerships to expand its impact.
