What does your company do?
My company specializes in fashion design and custom sewing, offering a range of modern and traditional garments, including accessories like headbands. In addition to fashion, I create wall paintings and customized portraits that reflect personal and cultural expression. I am currently developing a coloring book for girls that combines creativity with empowerment, featuring positive affirmations designed to inspire confidence, self-love, and motivation.
What is your biggest success?
One of my biggest successes was the introduction of modern-traditional bubu dresses to my collection. These unique designs gained significant attention during a trending period, helping to elevate my brand and showcase the quality and creativity of my work. This exposure led to increased recognition and opened doors to bulk orders from schools and churches which is the key clientele that align with the core focus of my business.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle was working with a single sewing machine that frequently broke down during production. This not only disrupted my workflow but also caused delays in fulfilling orders, which impacted my ability to maintain consistent delivery times. It was a challenging period that taught me the importance of investing in reliable equipment to ensure efficiency and uphold customer satisfaction.
