What does your company do?
Still She Bloomed is a women-led social enterprise committed to empowering, equipping, and elevating women and girls across the Eastern Cape and beyond. Our mission is to provide transformative platforms and opportunities that support personal growth, professional development, leadership capacity, and holistic wellness.
We do this through:
High-impact empowerment events and workshops that bring together women in politics, business, academia, and ministry to share knowledge, mentor one another, and foster collective growth.
Skills development and capacity-building programs that focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, and life skills.
Gender-based violence advocacy and awareness campaigns, aimed at educating communities, supporting survivors, and creating safe spaces for healing.
Mentorship and coaching initiatives that connect experienced women leaders with emerging voices to build confidence and resilience.
Community outreach projects including wellness drives, back-to-school campaigns, and dignity pack distributions to support girls and women in vulnerable communities.
At our core, we believe in the power of restoration, sisterhood, and purpose-driven impact. Still She Bloomed is not just an organization — it's a movement of hope and transformation.
What is your biggest success?
My greatest achievement is the successful establishment and growth of Still She Bloomed into a recognized leader in women’s empowerment within the Eastern Cape. From its inception, I envisioned creating a platform that not only uplifts women but also drives systemic change through leadership development, skills enhancement, and advocacy against gender-based violence. Under my strategic leadership, the organisation has delivered high-profile events featuring influential speakers, impactful mentorship programs, and community-wide wellness initiatives that have reached hundreds of women and girls. This achievement reflects my ability to mobilize resources, build strong partnerships, and inspire collective action for social transformation. Still She Bloomed stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, empowering women to break barriers and lead with confidence. This journey underscores my commitment to creating sustainable impact and elevating the voices of women in society.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The greatest hurdle I have faced in scaling Still She Bloomed has been navigating the complex landscape of limited funding and systemic barriers to women’s empowerment. Securing sustainable financial resources in a competitive environment is a significant challenge, impacting our ability to expand high-impact programs and reach underserved communities. Additionally, confronting deep-rooted societal norms and gender biases requires strategic advocacy and resilience. Balancing the organisation’s ambitious vision with operational realities—such as compliance, stakeholder engagement, and resource management—has demanded adaptive leadership and innovative problem-solving. These challenges have strengthened my capacity to build impactful partnerships, diversify revenue streams, and lead with purpose. Overcoming this hurdle has not only solidified Still She Bloomed’s foundation but also reinforced our commitment to driving meaningful, scalable change in women’s lives across the Eastern Cape.
