What does your company do?
Lulewellness is a holistic wellness and lifestyle brand built for modern African women. We offer weight loss and slimming teas, educational content on health and beauty and are launching wellness retreats called Camp Lulewellness across South Africa and internationally. We also partner with global wellness brands and plan to expand our product line into natural skincare, fitness tools and supplements.
What is your biggest success?
Launching our slimming tea product and making our first online sales within weeks was a huge success. Additionally, we secured affiliate partnerships with international brands like Duma Energy, Allimax Canada, RedSky Store and HAVN Life. Our brand has also received positive attention for planning Camp Lulewellness retreats in four cities Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and even Italy. With no external funding just strategic planning, Lulewellness is already creating a buzz online as an emerging lifestyle movement for African women.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest challenge has been funding. As a solo founder bootstrapping the entire business, I’ve had to build Lulewellness using personal resources and organic growth. Without external investment, things like product manufacturing, event planning and digital marketing require creative budgeting and constant sacrifices. Despite this, I’ve remained committed and resourcefulsecuring global affiliates, growing our social platforms and launching a physical product that’s already generating sales.
