What does your company do?
Obotse is a beauty brand founded in 2020. The name 'Obotse' originates from the Pedi word meaning “You are Beautiful”, celebrating individuality and uniqueness. Our purpose is to empower women to embrace their true beauty and become the ideal version of themselves through our skincare products and clothing (Pleated Skirts).

What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been bouncing back after a two-year break following a challenging period in my salon business. I sold my salon in 2023 due to mounting debts and had to stop manufacturing products because of a lack of capital. However, I don't see that as a failure, but rather as a valuable lesson that motivated me to try again in 2025.
Today, we supply small pharmacies and have just appointed 3 Sales Reps starting 1 July 2025 to sell and distribute our products in different towns and provinces.

What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been overcoming financial challenges and rebuilding my business after a setback. Specifically:
1. Managing debts and capital constraints
2. Restarting product manufacturing and finding a reliable supplier
3. Establishing new distribution networks
