What does your company do?

Cyan Development Concepts is a Learning and Production Centre. We offer training, mentoring and internships to unemployed youth and graduated. We operate in the creative arts sector and focus on design, visual artsand multimedia skills. We also produce art products such as mosaics, murals, storybooks and audiovisual books. We offer workplace experience to graduates who acquire and develop sound workplace skills and experience under professional mentors. This opens doors to industry where they are on-par with industry expectations, norms and standards. We also offer a comprehensive Personal Development training to ensure that they learn to communicate better, become ore confident and develop positive attitudes and mindsets.

What is your biggest success?

We've had many successes over the years. 1. We have worked eith esteemed and reputable organisations, businesses and government departments such as The Innovator Trust, the City of Cape town, Artcape Theatre, Iziko Museums and the Business and Arts South Africa. 2. We have trained, mentored and upskilled thousands of youth since starting out as a CC in 2007. We converted to a PTY Ltd in 2015. 3. We work with industry professionals and mentors who pass on skills to the youth 4. We've produced 6 audiovisual chapters of a story written by Celestine Williams, titled Peggy's change and shared it nationally. It was well-received. 5. We have worked with about 70 interns in our own company since inception and have placed many more for clients. These include YEP candidates of the Innovator Trust and create to Impact students from our BASA programme.

What has been your biggest hurdle?

Lack of adequate investment has been th only major hurdle. Other than that, we remain focused, creative, driven, skilled and resourceful to do what we can to level up.
