What does your company do?
We are a catering company, which started as a home based restaurant at the height of covid when the director faced retrenchment from work.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been working with a diverse people, especially since I come from a customer service background and making a difference in the lives of those I get to employ. Doing what you love has a way of granting fulfilment, so when my clients are able to recommend my services, I deem that success.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Sustaining the business when there was literally no business. It's hard to build from the ground with nothing at hand and knowing that there's no way to give up or give in. So the second and third year of the business were most challenging, I lost my job and my mother and was then the sole breadwinner.
