What does your company do?
We manufacture, repair and supply all types of steel products such as carports, gates, heavy duty shelving, racks, work benches, staircases, balustrades, sheet metal cutting & bending. Our customer is our main priority, supplying quality products at affordable prices is our motto.
In the short space of time, we have completed many successful projects and built our customer base substantially.
What is your biggest success?
In 2023, we broaden our spectrum and NES Outdoor Living was borne with the manufacture and supply of stainless-steel braai stands, braai grids, fire starters, pizza ovens, washing lines, fire bomas, repairs and maintenance to all braai area & equipment. This has been an exciting adventurous journey with lots of new ideas and products. NES Outdoor Living had the opportunity of being a stall holder at The Great Outdoor Expo at the Durban ICC. It was indeed an enthralling experience which increased our database and production line. Later on, we secured orders with tanker manufacturers where we manufactured stainless steel safety hatches and stainless-steel tanker doors.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Insufficient equipment hence majority of our fabrication is outsourced. thus, we only make a minimal profit.
Limitation of cash flow that has led to the business not been able to secure raw material at prime prices
and paying out high interest on borrowed funds.
