Malachi Organics’ biggest success came when we secured funding from the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), which allowed us to enhance our operations significantly. The funding helped us improve product packaging, update labels, and increase our stock levels, which played a major role in strengthening the brand’s appeal in the market. Additionally, our retail growth has been exceptional, with our products now available in popular stores like Lemonade Stores, Pick n Pay Select, and Honey Junction. Our online presence has flourished, particularly through Makro Online, making our products accessible to customers across the country.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One of the biggest hurdles for Malachi Organics has been navigating the complexities of scaling production while maintaining the high standards of quality that the brand is known for. The demand for our products has steadily increased, but managing supply chains and ensuring timely delivery without compromising on quality has required significant effort and resource management. This challenge has been compounded by the fluctuating costs of raw materials, which have required constant monitoring and adjustments to maintain profitability.
