We Do House Plans
What does your company do?
Few homeowners know that having approved, up-to-date building plans is a legal requirement. We Do House Plans bridges that gap — helping South Africans stay compliant and avoid costly delays when selling or renovating their homes.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success with We Do House Plans has been identifying a niche in the architectural field that few had truly recognised — the gap between homeowners and building compliance. I turned that insight into a thriving business that bridges the divide with humour, heart, and professionalism. On a personal level, my greatest fulfilment comes from serving the architectural profession voluntarily, especially in my role as president of the Pretoria Institute for Architecture, where I get to give back, uplift others, and shape the future of a profession I deeply love.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Some of my biggest hurdles have been navigating the financial realities of running a niche architectural business — from managing cash flow and setting the right pricing structure, to learning how to market effectively in a way that truly connects with our audience. On a personal level, the constant juggle between work demands, family responsibilities, and maintaining my mental well-being has been a real challenge. Finding that balance hasn't always been easy, but it's taught me resilience, self-awareness, and the importance of surrounding myself with support and purpose.
