HerHorizon
What does your company do?
HerHorizon is a formal network of young women with the common purpose of advancing our careers through peer mentorship, expanding our networks and genuine support for one another, across various sectors, we have seen the power of women supporting women.
At HerHorizon, we empower women to break career barriers and achieve their full potential through peer mentorship, skills development, power coaching and strategic networking. Through these key levers we ensure that every member evolves, elevates, and is empowered in her career path.
What is your biggest success?
HerHorizon has experienced remarkable growth and impact in a short time. Since January, we’ve grown from 20 to 100 members — a 400% increase — reflecting a strong demand for community-driven career support for women. We’ve created a vibrant peer-powered ecosystem that connects students and early-career professionals with mentorship, coaching, and curated opportunities.
One of our most impactful moments was the sold-out event “What’s in the Bag?”, which brought together over 70 women for an immersive experience in career toolkits, networking, and personal branding. Beyond events, our biggest success lies in the tangible growth of our members:
• Emma, an early-career professional, recently became a board member for a youth-serving organization. The opportunity was shared through HerHorizon, and she received tailored coaching to support her application.
• Nosi, a student uncertain about how to break into tech, received coaching through HerHorizon and landed two tech job offers. She’s now thriving in her new role and was recently featured on Vow FM, inspiring fellow students on how to enter the tech space.
These stories capture what we believe is our true value: unlocking confidence, access, and community for ambitious women navigating their next bold steps.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest challenge has been securing consistent, flexible funding that matches the ambition and potential of our network. While the demand for our programs grows, limited core funding has constrained our ability to scale our offerings, expand to new locations, or provide need-based support like transport stipends and event subsidies. We’re actively seeking partners who believe in the power of peer-driven change and are willing to invest in building the infrastructure for long-term impact.
