What does your company do?
Clazzique Academy is a private Hospitality and tourism training institution based in Bloemfontein in the Free State. Our main objective is to educate and empower the youth today for the future and to focus on the MISSING MIDDLE LEARNERS by offering students skills in the hospitality and tourism industry.
What is your biggest success?
Partnership with Southern Sun Group for our Work Integrated learning component, our students has the opportunity to get trained by best in industry, we have other big hotels such as Bon Hotel, Protea Hotel etc. Since we opened our doors from each intake one or two students get employment opportunities, therefore our students are employable. One of student won 3rd prize in “Africa’s Top Table just after 7 months with the institution, currently we have a student at Protea hotel that was offered a permanent job while on training. One of the establishments where we place our students on WIL employed 3 of our students in he establishment. We successful offered 46 learnership opportunities for students from previously disadvantaged background.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our hurdles to get parents that can pay fees for their children, this year we had more than 100 enquiries but could not afford to register.
