We are dedicated to healing, compassion, confidentiality, and mentorship, while empowering women through education, collaboration, and generosity to foster lasting personal growth and self-sufficiency. Our flagship Women Unleashed Skills Development Program is dedicated to empowering women and youth who have had limited access to income-generating opportunities. This program provides free access to skill-building and personal development resources, equipping participants to thrive economically, socially, and mentally. The programs we offer include: Devotion, Capacity Building, Entrepreneurship, Wellness, Life skills, Cooking and Baking and Sewing.
What is your biggest success?
We have enrolled 202 beneficiaries and took part in our women unleashed skills development program,52 completed the program and graduated with certificate of completion. 30 of the beneficiaries received permanent employment, 14 started their small business and utilize the income to sustain themselves, sixteen beneficiaries were awarded internships at the BBM Foundation.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest hurdle has been that of not having financial means for the running of the program, because we provide our beneficiaries with breakfast and lunch through out the program, provide them with self-care hampers. We also require funding for the operational needs of the program. Lack of sponsorship has also impacted us badly as we cannot run the programs as we would wish to. Giving more women an opportunity to access the skills we offer. We would be able to continuously provide our beneficiaries with training using appropriate tools and equipment, weekly food hampers and maintain the community Centre where the skills are provided.
