What is your biggest success?
Our greatest achievement was turning the company's bold, audacious goal into reality. After countless long nights and months of sleep deprivation, Silversea Luxury Cruises entrusted us with managing their maiden expedition along the Southern African coast, covering eight key points. This project involved numerous firsts and highly curated experiences, primarily collaborating with small local businesses. The success of this expedition not only showcased our ability to deliver exceptional, bespoke journeys but also reinforced our reputation for innovation and excellence in the industry.
South African itineraries can be more vibrant by breaking the current mould, also using tourism as a vehicle the narrow the divide between urban and rural, inland and coastal. The possibilities are endless.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The main challenge has been maintaining consistent market access and scaling our team to increase capacity. The travel industry is highly seasonal, which makes it difficult to sustain steady income. To address this, we strive to balance a core team of full-time staff with freelancers, ensuring flexibility and ongoing revenue streams. Securing year-round work and expanding our capacity remain ongoing hurdles, but these are essential for our growth and long-term stability.
