What does your company do?
We specialise in making cocktail infused sweets using premium ingredients. Our products include Prosecco gummies with real ratafia and Prosecco paste, old fashioned whiskey lollipops, and whiskey sour gummies, with many more products to come
What is your biggest success?
Our very first big corporate order, our sweets will be in the swag bags at the Ilembe shorts indie film festival 2025.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
I manufacture all of my sweets by hand, and external factors such as the weather are a big challenge. Ensuring that my sweets can withstand the heat and humidity in Durban meant pushing back my launch date in order to perfect the recipes, which I had originally created in Belgium. I’m continually perfecting and my recipes and experimenting with new flavours, but making a shelf stable, delicious product that won’t melt has been a challenge very specific to Durban.
