What does your company do?
The Zora Group is a 100% Black Female owned fully fledged professional technology services firm. Our business verticals are: Technology - with a focus on Cloud, Security and Automation. Zora means a ‘new dawn’ in Croatian, as such we are intent on bringing new ways of thinking in doing business. Zora aims at being value-adding in propelling strategies and implementation that fosters growth for clients across sectors.
What is your biggest success?
In 2017 The City of Jo'burg to impact more than 5000 entrepreneurs around the different regions of the city. I facilitated key engagements, holding the Mayor and other stakeholders accountable to drive entrepreneurship around the city.
The work conducted was documented report that was published to be a blueprint for an entrepreneurship ecosystem in Johannesburg.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
In 2016, my brother, business partner and co-founder passed away in a motor vehicle accident. This tragedy hid hard as it ushered in a period where we had to continue and build the vision.
The journey was not easy but garnered enough strength to go on. I was vulnerable to and needed to gather strength to rebuild the business as well as mourn some of the dreams we wanted to see unfold with him. It took relentless faith and hope to continue.
I reflect on a journey of resilience and persistence to build the dream and vision in spite of the detour on the journey.
