What does your company do?
The Business of Uniforms is our Passion.
Established in 2003, KARMA is known to broaden the fashion boundaries of Uniform & Corporate Wear design. We offer a Full-Package program for all client clothing requirements, from initial design concept through to sampling, in house local manufacture and distribution. We successfully cater to an extensive client base which includes Southern Africa and exports to Sub-Saharan Africa. For all size organisations, KARMA is versatile in our approach to your specific needs.
What is your biggest success?
As a Female in the notoriously challenging and male dominated industry of clothing manufacture, my biggest success to date has been the continued growth, employment and upskilling of our local people.
Keeping our production local and showcasing the true talent of our Nation when guided and mentored.
I am Proud of what KARMA stands for , and so too is the KARMA Team. We walk and talk our Brand.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been the access to funding as we grow : securing capital can be challenging, especially for those of us who have less access to traditional funding sources.
This has limited and slowed down our growth and the ability to scale our operation as we would like to.
Organic growth is a blessing at the outset of a Business, however there comes a time when you require a more aggressive and dedicated expansion, and this is where the Gap lies in funding opportunities.
