Katzar
What does your company do?
Katzar, inspired by the Hebrew word for “harvesting,” is a people-focused consultancy that helps organisations unlock the full potential of their workforce through strategic, cost-effective HR and organisational development solutions. With a team of human resource specialists and workplace psychologists, Katzar offers a wide range of services - from talent acquisition and performance management to employee experience, organisational design, change management and digital transformation. Our mission is to grow your people and culture maturity while you focus on your core business. We believe that when you prioritise your people, they’ll prioritise your business - and we’re here to do that on your behalf.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been building Katzar into a trusted and values-driven consulting firm from the ground up. Although the business was registered in 2018, I initially worked on it after hours while employed full-time. In 2020, I took the leap to focus on it full-time - right at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ironically, despite the global uncertainty, Katzar became profitable in that very year - a testament to resilience, adaptability, and purpose-driven work.
Since then, the business has grown steadily - now with four consultants and a client base built almost entirely on referrals. One of the most affirming moments was reaching over 1,000 LinkedIn followers, a sign of growing impact and credibility. A key milestone was the addition of a digital transformation solution, helping organisations and their employees shift from outdated habits to modern, tech-enabled ways of working.
More than numbers, success for me is seeing workplaces transformed and people thriving because of our work. That’s the true reward.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been navigating the tension between growth and sustainability. As a solo founder, I often carried the full weight of delivery, which led to burnout before I felt ready to hire. I also struggled with trusting my own brand, frequently working under the names of larger consultancies instead of building Katzar’s visibility. Scaling a service-based business where clients value personal connection made it difficult to expand without compromising quality. Additionally, I faced uncertainty around protecting my intellectual property and lacked early investment in marketing, which limited reach.
In the early stages, I also undercharged for my services - often driven by low self-worth and a fear of asking for what I truly deserved. As a woman in leadership - raising three children, running a startup, and serving my community - I’ve had to navigate competing demands with care and conviction. These experiences have taught me the importance of boundaries, strategic delegation, and building systems that support sustainable growth both professionally and personally.
My advice to other women in leadership: believe in your worth. Price your value with confidence - because when you do, others will too.
