What does your company do?
LAMM J produces vegetables, exotic vegetables and honey that are all organically grown by using eco-friendly farming methods to sustain the biodiversity in the environment
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success is, when I started farming I started on a small piece of land that was dry, arable land, to date I have used up nearly 3 hectares of the 4.6 hectare land that I operate on.
Another success is contributing to food security and demonstrating how small scale farming can play pivotal role in the country’s economic development, such as creating jobs where I am employing members of the community in which I operate in.
I have won awards such as YAFF (Youth in Agriculture), FEA (Female in Agriculture) and a Youth Pitching Competition hosted by DESTEA.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Lack of irrigation to provide my produce with sufficient water.
Lack of transportation to delivery to the market.
Lack of access to markets.
