What does your company do?
I own a woman-owned advertising agency offering paid advertising across Google Ads and paid social. I predominantly service international clients across Canada, Australia, Ireland and the UK. I also have serviced clients in South Africa and Kenya.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success is working for brands like Levi’s, Redbull, Mediclinic, Virgin Active, Spier and Revo properties. I’ve managed paid accounts for global and South African brands. Some of the budgets would be R500,000 on Meta ads alone. I would be responsible for managing their campaigns and delivering a particular amount of conversions like leads or purchases.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle would probably be that I do not have a finance background. I would love to do an accounting diploma to assist with managing my business but also to assist with seeing advertising more holistically and not just clicks or purchases but to see the profit potential for clients. Advertising tends to exist in silos but I would like to view it as a whole and look at other factors contributing to the success of advertising efforts.
