What does your company do?
We farm basic fresh vegetable crops, special crops and herbs. We supply to game lodges, retail, street vendors and community members. We preserve tomato supluses into the sundried tomatoes, we also process our chillies in pepper sauce and chilli flakes, and we also process our basil into basil pesto. We currewoeling on drying the other herbs into dried herbs.
What is your biggest success?
1. Developing the farm and installing shadenets.
2. Getting the SAGAP certified
3. For successfully Completing HACCP training (SANS 10330 and SANS 10049) with the SABS
4. Hosting WILD IMPACT 2025 internship students.
5. Being nominated for 3rd mpumalanga bambelela business awards
6. For being nominated for department of agriculture young female farmer for the year 2025
7. For being featured into the ACtIVATE! youth leadership for being a young person doing well in their business and assisting the community develop.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
1. Climate change had always been the challenge because it would disturb the production process or affect the yield
2. Market fluctuating.....the change in market dynamics. The change in demand, supply and prices is always a headache
