FARM4031
What does your company do?
FARM4031 is a passionate media company that loves turning real moments into powerful stories—through video, photography, editing, and acting classes. We’re also stepping boldly into the world of filmmaking and production. From the heart of the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, we run a Media Skills Development Program that gives unemployed youth the chance to learn, grow, and shine in the world of media.
What is your biggest success?
The Genesis Media Skills Development Program is our proudest achievement to date. Born and raised on the South Coast, it was a dream come true to pour back into the very community that shaped us. Over 6 months (from November 2023 to April 2024), we upskilled 22 unemployed youth, each receiving a monthly stipend to support their journey. The program didn’t just train—it created real jobs, employing 35 young people and opening doors into the world of media.
Funded by the NFVF, this initiative allowed us to live out our passion for storytelling while sharing the skills we worked hard to learn—especially with those who couldn’t afford university or college. It was more than a program; it was a movement, a spark of hope, and a testament to what’s possible when talent meets opportunity.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One of the key challenges we face is finding dedicated team members who truly understand the vision of FARM4031 and are willing to grow with the company. As a fairly new small business, we’re not just looking for skills—we’re looking for heart, drive, and people who believe in building something meaningful from the ground up.
