What is your biggest success?
We recently ventured Female in SHEQ Mentorship Programme. Our goal is to have an Occupational Health and Safety Hub for Safety officers serving in different industries, like mining, manufacturing, construction, retail, banking etc.
In 2024 we won 2 awards for the Mentorship Programme
1. Best Female Mentor – Erwic & CIDB - Erwic Awards 2024
2. Best OHS Programme – CETA & CBE – BERA 2024 Awards
We also received the IEMA badge with WeConnect International, after completing the Sustainability Skills for Managers course.
We formed part of the Global Executive Leadership Programme with GIBS and CETA in 2024, and was given the opportunity to explore (Morrow Architects) Singapore’s public housing strategies and understanding of the housing ecosystem in Singapore.
We are a team of ethical and professional individuals that are determined to explore other aspects of OHS in different countries and form collaborations with other companies worldwide.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle is to get more clients as more construction companies prefer to work with male consultants than female OHS consultant. I also want to grow nationally and internally, but I don't get the platform that focuses on growing OHS consultants specifically. Another challenge is that our industry is not taken seriously in most sectors, the only time organizations sees the need of calling us for inspections is when there's major incidents or perhaps the Labour Department is about to audit the organization based on their Safety compliance.
