What is your biggest success?
As a co-founder, entrepreneur and new mother, my biggest success has been creating Get Set Strategy - a business that balances family commitments while advancing my career. The joy of building something from the ground up that serves multiple purposes has been immensely fulfilling.
Get Set has enabled me to connect exceptional CMOs with businesses eager to grow and scale. Seeing these partnerships flourish validates our business model and mission. What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been establishing credibility in an industry where skepticism runs deep. Marketing often suffers from a reputation problem - businesses have been burned by empty promises, jargon-heavy pitches, and campaigns that delivered clicks but not customers.
As the new kid on the block in the fractional CMO space, overcoming this trust deficit has been challenging. Potential clients who desperately need strategic marketing guidance are often the most hesitant, having invested in disappointing marketing solutions before.
Building faith in our approach required transparency about our process, clear articulation of measurable outcomes, and evidence of results. We've had to demonstrate that our fractional CMO model isn't just another marketing expense but a strategic investment with demonstrable ROI.
This challenge pushed us to refine our value proposition and develop a results-oriented methodology that speaks directly to business growth rather than marketing buzzwords.
