What does your company do?
Kolabo Solutions is an Engineering Consulting and Management Company that is based in Ekhuruleni and is female led. Our ethos is one of collaboration and team empowerment. We produce ethical, pragmatic and innovative solutions for our client and this often results in sustainable solutions that have a bettered impact on their budgets, resources and the environment they practice in. Our work spans into the public and private sector.
What is your biggest success?
In my first two year of practice, I was able to obtain work from four significant clients, in varying sectors with a strong interest in ethical and sustainable practice. I achieved professional registration this year and I have grown my collaborative network so as to achieve work, not only in South Africa, but Western Africa. I have enormous interest in projects development and enjoy the nature of a multi-stakeholder project, complexity and all!
What has been your biggest hurdle?
1. Finding partners who see the long term objectives, and who align with my companies vision and mission.
2. Juggling motherhood and professional practice
3. Getting a mentor in the area that I want my business to grow in.
4. Receiving support to further my MBA, monetarily. It comes with the burden to bear when one needs to ensure good book practice.
