What is your biggest success?
Our greatest achievements lie in witnessing our clients achieve favorable outcomes in their legal cases. When clients, through their legal representation, secure successful judgments and receive the compensation they deserve based on our functional capacity evaluations, it underscores the high standard and robust representation provided by our reports. This directly reflects the quality and impact of our work.
Another significant recent success is the exciting transition to a full-time practice starting next month. We've secured dedicated practice rooms in Cape Town, which will allow us to see patients in a consistent, central location, eliminating the need for various dispersed appointments. This new chapter promises enhanced client experience and operational efficiency.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest regret is not launching our private practice sooner. Despite graduating with a BSc in Occupational Therapy in 2014 and a Masters of Philosophy in Law (specializing in Human Rights Law) in 2019, and gaining diverse experience in insurance, public hospitals, academia, and even launching other ventures, we never fully committed to our private practice until now.
Another significant hurdle, especially when starting out, was securing referrals. We've learned the importance of actively promoting our profile and networking, which has proven vital for growth in this business. Furthermore, finding suitable practice premises was a considerable challenge. At one point, the difficulty in finding a location in Cape Town almost led us to consider relocating back to Johannesburg. However, we're thrilled to have overcome this, with our new practice rooms now secured.
