Khanya Wellness Organisation
What does your company do?
I visit Learners in schools around Khayelitsha, doing Motivational talks about GBV and Awareness on Mental health since I've experienced both.I tell them to share their problems, not be ashamed, not give up in life, love themselves, focus on education.
So by doing this I show them support and caring. So that they know they are not alone.Even if they fail now but keep on trying until reaching their goals.Life continues and you need to move on.
What is your biggest success?
The greatest achievement for NPO is to get support from other Women and encouraging me to continue,I have also have the opportunity to share an event with a member of Parliament also invited to the SONA..2023.That was very great full for me.Also to be given a platform on Radio Zibonele to explain about my organisation. Also to work voluntarily with other organisations that are fighting GBV.To help other person by showing support that for me it's an achievement. You also gain their trust because you just met with them.So everyday for me is give a word of motivation to other person.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The biggest hurdle for me is to work with no funding, you applied but you get no funding, you have to figure it out yourself, you go to these Learners and sometimes they need something from you,so everyday it's a struggle but you do what you love, with no support.
