What is your biggest success?
One of our proudest accomplishments was launching our company on 13 June 2022—without any initial financial backing—during a time of economic decline in South Africa, within one of the country’s most challenging sectors: recruitment, where the national unemployment rate hovers around a staggering 31%.
In the face of these obstacles, we remained steadfast in our mission to create opportunities for job seekers. Our efforts have meaningfully connected unemployed individuals with sustainable work, helping to transform lives and contribute to the broader economy.
We are driven by more than just business—we are fuelled by purpose. Every placement brings hope to those struggling, and every opportunity we create is a step toward building a better future. This isn’t just work for us—it’s a calling, a passion, and a responsibility we are proud to uphold.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Open and continuous communication with both clients and candidates is essential; it keeps the process transparent and efficient. Consistency, in turn, builds the trust and respect that form the foundation of strong, long-lasting professional relationships.
However, unfortunately, one of the greatest challenges in our industry is maintaining clear communication and consistency throughout the process.
It is an ongoing challenge we face daily with receiving timely feedback from clients regarding candidates, changing job specs or filled vacancies, as well as candidates not informing us of a change in circumstances, etc. This not only slows down the process but can also inadvertently reflect poorly on us, despite our best efforts to ensure a smooth and professional experience for all parties involved.
