What does your company do?
Zonzaba Pty Ltd was established 2016 and trading as Zonzaba Natural Products which produces natural based baby tonic to soothe colic symptoms such as gas, wind, restlessness, appetite; this product has been used by our great grandmother and shared information with generation to generation. Zonzaba Pty Ltd was awarded startup funding by ELIDZ/TIA 2022 for product development of baby tonic under controlled environment at East London IDZ/ TIA Science Park.
Zonzaba Pty Ltd is also involved in small scale cultivation of natural products using our home gardens to cultivate and preserve medicinal plants and essential oils used for our products including various essential oils that are used for hair grower manufacturing to strengthen and boost natural hair growth and skincare product for skin glow improving blemishes. We also infuse essential oil plants to produce essential oils that are used for hair and skincare products and extraction of medicinal plants for baby tonic at small scale.
What is your biggest success?
As Zonzaba Pty Ltd, our biggest achievement was when we received startup funding from ELIDZ/TIA Call 2022, this funding enabled Zonzaba to procure raw material, packaging, branding and conducting chemical testing to validate our baby tonic product and being incubated by ELIDZ Science Park. We were selected to showcase our Natural products for the first time at:

What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our biggest challenge is funding for upscaling cultivation of medicinal plants and essential oils which will be used as raw material for our production and natural product manufacturers, equipment for extraction and manufacturing of natural based products (baby tonic, hair grower and skin glow product, being able to enter local and international markets and lastly capital for employee salaries.
