What does your company do?
Expression Clothing Line is a clothing brand that is now extending it's hand to working with young people,we recruit them to groom them in modeling in that way we ensure that they're safe and away from the streets. We work with schools in our community in equipping them with skills like sewing,painting and drawing. We also sponsor underprivileged scholars with matric dance dresses,giving back to the community.
What is your biggest success?
Last year we were invited for the first time to take part in the community event that takes place every year in December. My models were very excited for the opportunity and to be exposed to that kind of environment for the very first time,to this day they're still going on about it. We're now preparing for a youth day event happening on the 16th of June.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
We are faced with a huge challenge as the community as our young people are faced with so many social ills such as Teenage pregnancy,Drug&Substance abuse which sometimes makes it difficult for us to get them or sometimes they can't be available for meetings and rehearsals due to family issues. The company also struggles with funds to keep the things running like equipment as well as fabrics,we also would love to have/ attend workshops so that they're able to improve their skills
