At Hamokeri Tshisanyama and Car Wash, we offer a variety of flame-grilled meats including Pork, Beef, and Wors. We also serve fried chips with Kota, and provide professional car wash services.
What is your biggest success?
My biggest success has been taking the leap to start HA MOREKI Tshisanyama and Carwash—a business that combines delicious, flame-grilled meals with car wash services in a way that serves both convenience and culture. As a woman entrepreneur, launching this business in a male-dominated industry was not easy, but I did it with passion, determination, and community in mind. Despite the challenges of starting from scratch, I managed to register the business, secure a location and already attract loyal customers. This journey is still new, but the fact that I turned my idea into a living, operating business is my proudest achievement so far
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been launching Ha Moreki Tshisanyama and Car Wash with limited resources and no external funding. Starting from scratch meant I had to be creative, hands-on, and extremely resourceful. From sourcing affordable equipment to marketing on a tight budget, I had to wear many hats at once.
Being a woman in a space often dominated by men added pressure, but I used that as fuel. I focused on building strong community relationships, offering quality service, and making my brand a welcoming space for everyone.
This experience taught me that obstacles are part of the journey—but resilience, focus, and heart can turn them into stepping stones. I’m proud to be a woman driving growth in my community, one plate of braai and one clean car at a time.
