My social enterprise is RPS Sebela Private Practice PTY Ltd. It is mainly a social enterprise offering social work services - mainly counselling to both children and adults. I provide holistic support to clients in all aspects of their lives by addressing the physical, mental, emotional and psychological well-being. I also assist the clients to tap into their potential and empower them to function at their fullest potential.
What is your biggest success?
Being recognised as the Woman of Honor and scooping the first place in that category from the Gauteng Provincial Legislature for the Vita Basadi Awards: In recognition for outstanding achievement in serving the people of Gauteng who have no means to help themselves was a nice achievement. It went on to acknowledge my many hats I carry as an entrepreneur, social worker and an emergency medical care practitioner.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
The healthcare gap that still exist to a point that some clients take longer to access the multi disciplinary team for proper diagnosis and medication even when referred. This usually happen when the client is not able to access other healthcare professionals whose interventions are required in their healing journeys.
As a result we need to ensure that the clients have the necessary resources to aid their treatment for behavioural, emotional and mental health issues.
Marketing and digitizing my practice is also something that I need to prioritize in order to attract clientele and let the world know about the services we offer.
