Sable Black
What does your company do?
Sable Black is Black & Female Owned Level 1 B-BBEE Proudly South African Company on its way to change the trajetory of the African Women Hair market! Our pilot product has been the Anti-lift Sweat Proof Wig Lace Glue that quickly became Amazon South Africa's #1 Best Selling product in the first two weeks of launching. Taking the social media wave by storm our wig glue is not only a trending topic but has garner support and positive ratings all throughout social media! Hearing this, most people don't expect this much rave about a simple wig glue but what we have managed to sell with our wig glues is not a product but a 30ml bottle of innovation! Our sweat proof formula is the first of its kind as it meets realistic expectations of what a wig glue should do in the South African climate. Providing a hold that lasts 2 times longer than the average wig glue, providing ultra strong hold for better security, being latex free for sensitive skin girlies, being sweat proof therefore allowing women the opportunity to live life uninterrupted by "bad hair days" it is a poduct that is difficult to not to love! My purpose for starting Sable Black and making this pilot product is because I saw a massive inconsideration of African women needs and wants in the hair market. With the African hair market being as profittable as it is in South Africa, the lack of representation in the products available within the market do not reflect such. In a study which studied the hair salon market both informal and formal found that the informal hair market which mostly serves african woman could be the highest grossing informal market as well as the highest employing market. With such high traffic and huge opportunity for profit and profitability scaling from Africa all the way to China, you would expect the voices of African women asking for innovation to be heard far and wide! With that said, Sable Black was created to hear those voices and meet them with their demands! So much more is in store for Sable Black with more products in the pipeline expected to be ground-breaking as they are once again, the first of their kind in the South African market. Fin.
