What is your biggest success?
Our biggest success has been launching a free legal advice platform dedicated to supporting victims of gender-based violence. Through this initiative, we’ve provided urgent, accessible legal guidance to individuals in crisis—helping them understand their rights, navigate protection orders, and access justice without fear or financial barriers. In just over a year, we’ve empowered more than 500 people through workshops, consultations, and outreach programmes, with a strong focus on women, youth, and underserved communities. This work represents the heart of our mission: restoring dignity, building legal confidence, and ensuring no one is left behind when it comes to justice.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
My biggest hurdle has been navigating the emotional and financial toll of building a mission-led company in an industry that often undervalues community-based legal services. Early on, I faced constant rejection from funders and skepticism from traditional legal professionals who didn’t understand the need for accessible legal education and GBV-specific support. At times, the lack of funding and burnout felt overwhelming. But I chose to keep going—by bootstrapping, learning to lead lean teams, and staying grounded in impact. Every hurdle became fuel to innovate, grow, and stay rooted in purpose.
