What does your company do?
RW&J is a social enterprise aimed at facilitating programs to uplift and empower disadvantaged communities. RW&J stands for Rodgers Winnie and Jennifer (my late grandparents and mother) Who were devoted community leader. At RW&J we aim to encourage community involvement and make impactful changes in Townships and Rural Areas. Community Outreach Projex:School Leadership camps and Team Building, Discipline camp. What is your biggest success?
Our biggest achievement so far was successfully organising a fun run against crime in 2024.
It was a huge success. It was very well received by the community and the sponsors.
With this event, we addressed many socio-economic issues which was the crime, water shortages, lack of community involvement, lack of access to opportunities, lack of information etc. The lucky draw prize was a Jojo tank and grocery voucher. This year we aim to give away 4 jojo Tanks.
The event was highly successful and impactful.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
Our challenge has been the lack of funding and resources to facilitate these projects.
