What is your biggest success?
One of Our Biggest Achievements: Bridging the Gap Between TV Production and Brilliant Marketing
When Yithi Media entered the market, we identified a major gap — TV productions lacked agile, culturally in-tune marketing support that could match the pace, energy, and emotional resonance of African storytelling. We stepped in with a bold solution.
Trusted Partner for Major Broadcasters
Yithi Multimedia became the go-to agency for e.tv — earning long-term retainer contracts to launch new shows, reposition legacy brands, and build engaged digital communities through storytelling.
Our strength lies in interpreting a show’s tone, character arcs, and fan culture, and turning that into digital content that resonates, trends, and drives viewership.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
One of Yithi Zulu’s biggest personal hurdles has been growing a business while growing into a business leader — often simultaneously, and in real time.
The Challenge
As a creative strategist turned entrepreneur, Yithi had to learn how to build a scalable business in an environment that offered little support for Black, female-owned media agencies. That meant:
Navigating funding systems that weren’t built with creative businesses in mind.
Learning legal, financial, and operational structures on the fly — while keeping the creative work excellent.
Balancing the emotional labour of leading a team, managing client expectations, and maintaining personal drive in an often undercapitalized industry.
The Lesson
The hardest part wasn’t just finding opportunities — it was sustaining momentum without burning out, and making strategic decisions that grew the business without compromising its creative soul.
