What is your biggest success?
success cannot be measured by accolades (even though i have many under my belt), our success lies in the patients whom we save from mortality everyday. treating children in renal failure is the most difficult thing to watch, but their success in transplantation is the ultimate success and joy. the Director of Verulam dialysis centre has just completed in ground a breaking treatment training regarding kidney transplantation. a first in South Africa and is planning launching it as we speak. this will change the way we do transplation in South Africa. All our successes does not only belong to us, it belong to every patient i have treated, every community member that passes through my hands, every school child that played a part in my success.
What has been your biggest hurdle?
entering a male dominated field is extremely tough. people done take you seriously as a female. since 2015 i have been fighting for this and im proud to say that finally my success and continued success comes from the product of my hard work.
