Keri Rudoph of The IV Bar
Keri’s achievements are testament to what one person can achieve through determination and innovation.
‘I was in the corporate world for many years, but after a divorce, as a single mother of three young children, I yearned for more flexibility. The experience of receiving a vitamin drip with my doctor was transformative – I felt revitalised. But the traditional setting was far from comfortable and efficient, and I was inspired to create a space where the experience matched the benefits.’
Drawing inspiration from brands like Starbucks and SLOW Lounge, Keri created The IV Bar as a space where people could recline in comfort and savour a cappuccino while having a vitamin infusion.
With a serene atmosphere akin to a lounge, The IV Bar administers medically approved intravenous vitamin and mineral drips, helping clients look, feel and perform at their best. It’s a sanctuary where registered nurses tend to your wellbeing, offering an array of drips that boost energy, reduce fatigue, rev up your immune system, enhance skin tone, aid in weight loss and gut health, manage pain and inflammation, uplift mood and even boost libido.
In just a few years, The IV Bar has blossomed into a national franchise with 23 branches (and counting) across South Africa. Their ambitious goal? To reach 35 IV Bars by year-end.
Winning the Santam Woman of the Future Award fuels Keri’s dreams. Her vision for the future includes expanding beyond South African borders, opening doors for The IV Bar to enhance lives worldwide.
‘The credibility that comes with this award is remarkable. It comforts me to know that my idea is being recognised, and the impact will be tremendous.’ To her fellow female entrepreneurs, she has this advice: ‘You know more than you think you do, and you’re better than you give yourself credit for. Shake off that imposter syndrome, hold your head high and stop flying under the radar. ’
